Unbelievable location steps away from the bridge, surrounded by amazing bakeries, restaurants, and gathering places. Dormer room was fresh and beautifully designed with clean lines and stunning fixtures. Elizabeth was incredibly kind and patient, ensuring I had all the necessary information and English brochures to enhance my experience. Great facilities for a good price, spacious room, ample breakfast, comfy beds, and all the amenities I needed for a restful stay. The modern refurbishment felt like a 5-star hotel suite, with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, and friendly staff. Highly recommend room 206 with breathtaking dual aspect views.

Truly enjoyed every detail about our REALLY GREAT 1 night stay here. Fabulously helpful and professional staff, they helped us a lot. Location: the hotel was not far from the main square, central to sights and restaurants and northern Portugal and the centre. Tried some takeout specials at Hamburgueria Davila, luckily it was approx 10-15 minutes' walk from the venue.

the room was oversized, the bathroom too small, no loo paper, no extra pillows, however the property was finished to a high standard. it could have had some little extras in place given the standard that they aspire too. there is a chair lift from the front door to reception which is up a steep stairs, great. however you would have to climb a flight of stairs to the lift. so anyone with mobility problems could have an issue depending on which room they are allocated.
power outage issue

Perfect location! We were able to explore the beautiful town easily and enjoyed strolling along the river. The room was lovely and had everything we needed for a romantic escape. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the peaceful atmosphere.
We had a few issues during our stay. The cleanliness of the shower left much to be desired and the blocked drain was unpleasant.

I felt like a queen in a castle, the rooms were spacious and luxurious, and the bathroom was pure bliss. Plus, I could explore the beautiful surroundings on hiking and walking tours.
Oh, who needs air conditioning in half the room anyway? It's not like I need the entire room to be a comfortable temperature.
